On the common boundary of the Parishes of Egglescliffe and Yarm and previously
listed on 23 June 1966 in the Parish of Yarm. Circa 1400 for Bishop Skirlaw of
Durham. Later widened. Bridge slopes down from north to south. Five arches,
the outer ones shallower. Ashlar with half octagonal buttresses and small
pointed cutwaters between arches. Roll mouldings edge the voussoirs. Plain
parapet, with near-flat coping, above band at road level. Rusticated end piers
divide bridge proper from abutments.
