Farmhouse. Possibly C17, largely remodelled in the early-mid-C19. Cob, stone plinth
plastered, under hipped slate roof. Probably a 3-room, cross-passage plan with a
rear wing; the main range completely remodelled in the C19; now an L-shaped building
with end stacks to main range, axial stack to wing, all with plastered brick shafts.
2 storeys.
Front: Symmetrical 3-window range; all hornless sash windows, the panes to outer
windows at 1st floor level, 12 to centre; 20 and 24-pane (the latter renewed) to
ground floor. Central porch with square columns, fluted pilasters, plain canopy,
panelled reveals and door. Left-hand side elevation with one 16-pane sash window,
otherwise C20 metal framed casements. One chamfered beam visible in wing, but
interior not inspected.
