Pair of cottages. Probably C18. Plastered cob on rubble footings; cob and stone
stacks with C20 brick tops; thatched roof with 3 gables. Pair of contemporary, 2-
storey, 2-room cottages facing south-west. Central cross wall which contains axial
stack. Also projecting gable-end stacks with thatch-roofed side ovens. To rear
are integral outshuts. Right cottage preserves original fenestration; 2 windows
with central door and window in each gable above. 3-light timber frames, centre
casement and 8 panes per light with glazing bars. Ground floor window right has
C20 EJMA pattern replacement frame. Left cottage may have right side window
blocked and those to left are C20 replacements. Interior unstopped chamfered
crossbeams and doors from outer rooms (kitchens) to outshots. Roof not inspected.
