SX84NW Barn about 20 metres
5/77 north west of Pittaford
Farmhouse

Barn. C17. Local slate rubble. Corrugated iron sheet roof, hipped at
right (east) end and gabled at west end.
Plan Large barn with threshing floor at centre, outshuts on front and with
later extension an higher west end said to have been an engine house. The
original barn might have had a loft floor at the west end with access from
higher ground level at this end.
Exterior: The south front facing the yard has low outshuts and between them
to right of centre a cart entrance with its original wooden shouldered frame
with post at centre and double doors. Later outshut to left of front. the
rear elevation onto the road has a smaller doorway to left of centre with a
timber lintel and loft doorway to left and right.
Interior: The walls are plastered. The roof is a C20 soft-wood structure.
