Mount Pleasant and Rose

Pair of cottages. C17, much later modifications. Rendered rubble or cob,
thatched roof. Long frontage, possible cross-passage to right of central ridge
stack; small back wing at lower level, possibly stair, back of Mount Pleasant.
Two storeys, scattered fenestration; ground floor has a flush C20 door attached
to small 2-light, then larger 2-light. Plank door set in deep reveals, then a
3-light, a door, and three 2-light casements; at first floor are two small
2-light, then a 3 and 2-light flanking small single light. All these casements
with horizontal bars. Left return has 2 over 2-light. At left end short of
building a section is narrower than remainder. Eaves stack at back of Mount
Pleasant, central ridge stack, and gable stack to right, both raised in brick.
Interior of Mount Pleasant not accessible; Rose Cottage, some remains of roof
principals. Lies high and prominent on village edge.
