GV II
House, gable to streets at each end, and attached to return wing, Corner Cottage
(q.v.); main front faces the Congregational Church (q.v.). Probably C17 origins
but principally C19 and C20. Limewashed or rendered rubble, asbestos-cement
slate roof, hipped to right, gable left. 2 storeys; ground floor has 3-light
and 2-light casements, and first floor has four 2-light casements, all with
glazing bars. To right a C20 door and glazed porch to hipped roof. Plain left
gable with large stack and a 6-pane light set low left. At back is a large
eaves stack and stair turret. The eaves line has been raised at some stage.
Interior: has one bressumer fire, but otherwise restructured in the C19 and
C20. Important as part of a group with Corner Cottage and the Congregational
Church.
