Early C19. A pleasant Regency house in painted brick with roughcast street elevation and hipped, double span, slate roof. Brick stacks. 2 storeys. 4 windows, sashes with glazing bars. Small figure in 1st floor niche over door. Segmental, bracketed wooden hood and plain side pilasters to doorway. Fanlight and 6 panelled door, the top 2 now glazed.
Monks Revel and Gosfield Cottage form a group with Holmefield College and the listed cottages opposite (Holmefield College and Winkton Lodge Cottage are buildings of local interest).
