Farmhouse, western end C17 and eastern part late C19 Coursed rubble, slate
roof with stone slate verges and gable ends. Brick stacks to probable ends
of original house. The north facade is part of a later outshut which
conceals the remains of a Cl7 facade. 2 storeys, 4 window range. 3-light
wooden casements with horizontal glazing bars. To the left is a 2-light
Cl9 casement with glazing bars in a brick surround. West gable has square
header C17 square window of 2-lights with returned label and small blocked
light. (RCHM) Internally there are 2 C 17 3-light stone windows in original
facade. "RCHM, Dorset, vol III", no 4, pp 147-8.
