C13 church. Nave and chancel of unit height and span with ridged, gabled,
peg-tiled roof and eaves. Of coursed flints and pebbles with freestone
quoins. Western Bell turret with broach spire, externally Victorian, as
is the south. Porch, of timber framing. A red brick panel set in the
south-west bay of the nave wall bears the rebus of Abbot Rose, of Waltham
Abbey (1497-1500). Three restored lancet windows on south, with a Priest
door of Early English style, and a 2-light perpendicular window in second
place. West window of 3-lights cinque foiled in a segmental head with
label and a lancet above it. Victorian vestry to north and matching windows
in north wall.
