House. Late C18. Timber framed and weather-boarded on brick base with plain
tiled roof. Two storeys with paired modillion eaves cornice to hipped roof with
stacks to end left and to end right. Regular fenestration of 2 tripartite glazing
bar sashes on each floor in moulded surrounds, with central glazing bar sash on
first floor, and central door of 6 raised and fielded panels with traceried semi-
circular fanlight and open pediment on Doric pilasters with entablature blocks.
Three hipped rear wings (one a C20 extension) and exterior across inleft return to
stone-lined cellars, possibly pre-dating the house. Interior: geometric stair
with wreathed handrail and stick balusters on scrolled treads. Dado rail in main
rooms, with enriched, swagged fire-surrounds with Neo-Classical motifs, and in an
upper room, agricultural implements and swagged ears of wheat.
