House, now restaurant and house. C17, altered in C18, C19 and C20. Timber
framed, mainly clad with red brick in Flemish bond, some plaster, roofed with
handmade red clay tiles. 3 bays facing SW with central stack, forming a
lobby-entrance. C18 extension to left, with end stack, and small 2-storey
lean-to extension to rear of it, with corner extension beyond. C20 flat-roofed
single-storey extension in right rear angle. Single-storey shop extending
forwards from right end, now part of restaurant, plastered on right return, with
brick left return and one brick buttress. 2 storeys. Ground floor, 2 C20
casements, and on shop extension, C20 shopfront with 6-panel door, and plaster
and weatherboarding above. First floor, 2 C20 casements and one C20 sash. At
left end of front elevation, plain boarded door with moulded pediment. C20 door
at front of C20 gabled porch in front left angle. Dogtooth eaves course. The
ground floor has the studding exposed internally.
