West End Cottage

House, formerly a pair of estate cottages. Mid C19. Coursed ironstone with
ashlar dressings, some of the stonework apparently re-used from elsewhere.
Hipped thatched roof. 2-room plan, one storey and attics. Symmetrical E
elevation: ground roof has 2 single lignts flanking 2 3-light windows. Attic
has 2 eyebrow dormers with 3-light windows. All are mullioned or mullion and
transom windows. Roof continues forward to form roof of central porch, which
has diagonal buttresses to angles, and 4-centred arched doorway, the moulded
head apparently re-used. Red brick central multiple ridge stack. C20 flat-
roofed addition to rear.
