In Memory of Sr Humphry Winche alias Dela Winche Kt who in ye 4 yeare of King James Ano Dni 1606 was sent by him to serve in Ireland first as Cheife Baron after as Cheife Justice & Councellor of State for Kingdome, from whence recalled he served his Majesty as one of his Justices of his court of Common Pleas at Westminster, & Councellor of State for Ireland until an Apoplexye seised on him in his roabes ye 4th day of February 1624 in ye 71 yeare of his age whereof he about 24 houres after died in Chancery Lane London; whose corps imbalmed was brought down & buried heare below. He took to wife Cecely one of ye daughters of Richard Onslowe alias Ondesloe Esq. Solicitor Generail to Queene Elizabeth, by whom he had issue 2 sonnes & 3 daughters viz Onslowe, Humphry, Margaret, Heilen & Dorothy. Humphry, Margaret & Heilen dyed in their infancye. His wife Dame Cicely with Onslowe & Dorothy surviving him, Onslowe married Judeth only daughter of Roger Burgoyne of Sutton Esq. Dorothy married to George Scott of Hawkhurst in ye county of Kent Esq.
