Early to mid C19. Symmetrically designed pair of houses with recessed centre. Now converted to 10 flats. Yellow brick with stucco dressings and channelled stucco ground floor. Hipped tiled roof with bracketed cornice. 3 storeys, 2:2:2 sash windows, ground floor round headed, upper floors segmental headed. Rusticated quoins, Fine 6 panelled doors, 2 central panels circular, in round arched porches flanking elliptically arched carriageway with keyblock.

Nos 26 to 30 (even) form a group with the Public Library.
