Footpath guidepost: late C19/early C20. Cast-iron, slightly tapering
octagonal shaft on plinth. Shaft carries inscription in raised
letters. ERECTED BY THE WIRRALL [sic] FOOTPATHS SOCIETY BY CONSENT OF
THE COUNTY COUNCIL PLEASE KEEP TO THE FOOTPATH. Moulded cap with ball
finial carries single finger plate with nicked corners, reading in
raised letters PUBLIC FOOTPATH with painted below TO WELSH ROAD.
