Description

SP 79 NW GLOOSTON MAIN STREET (North Side)

3/15 Cottages on North Side of
Main Street

GV II

Row of eight cottages, formerly nine or ten. Early C19. Coursed ironstone
rubble with stone tiled roofs. Two storeyed, now of one or two units each
so some have probably formerly been two dwellings. All similarly detailed
with 1 or 2-light casement windows, but the three western most cottages are
possibly slightly earlier, as there is a break in build at this point and they
have flat timber lintels to all openings, the others have rendered brick heads.Axial
and gable end stacks.
