GV II

House with wall attached. Early C19 and additions dated 1856 on arch in wall
at rear. Sandstone ashlar with plinth; roof of Lakeland slates. Symmetrical.
2 storeys, 14 bays, 3 at each end in full-height canted projections. Nosed
steps up to Ionic porch, probably of 1856, with shields on plinths, and pierced
stone parapet on cornice; half-glazed double door and patterned fanlight in
panelled surround. Margined sashes in architraves, with first-floor sill band.
Roof hipped over canted bays, with corniced ridge chimneys. High wall attached
to left return contains keyed arch with date panel. Interior not inspected.
