Planned terrace of houses. Late C18. Stucco fronts except for
Nos 87 and 93 which are slate hung; steep slate roofs, No.91
with fluted eaves; hipped dormers and large brick end stacks.
Double-depth plan, each house with reception room at the front
and entrance hall to one side, plus service wings at rear.
2 storeys plus attic over basement; each house a 2-window
range. Nos 85, 87 and 89 have sashes with glazing bars,
otherwise late C19 or C20 horned sashes. Original pilastered
doorways with blind spoked fanlights to open pediments and
panelled doors and reveals except doorcase of No.91 removed
and No.87 has late C19 pilastered doorway with moulded hood on
consoles and architraves and impost string to ground floor.
INTERIOR: not inspected but likely to be of interest.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: low plinths on basement walls surmounted
by wrought-iron railings with urn finials.
Part of a planned late Georgian street, laid out in 1773.
