Cottage, now house. Late C16, extended late C18, altered C20. Part timber frame with
painted brick infill; part painted brick. Old tile gabled roof. Rectangular plan of 3
framed bays; small lean-to extension on left; large extension on right. 2 storeys and
attic. Chimney on ridge, an external chimney on each gable end, all with clay pots. C20
leaded casement windows. Road (west) front: left-hand section: timber framed. 3 bays.
Three, 2-light windows on first floor, 2 similar windows on ground floor with early C20
gabled porch and entrance door on left of windows. Right-hand section: painted brick.
One bay. Gabled roof dormer with 2-light window. Larger 2-light window on ground floor.
Interior: exposed timber frame. Some joists on ground floor have chamfers with plain
stopped ends. Queen post roof truss with clasped purlins and straight braces.
