C16 or possibly earlier origin, refronted early Cl9, the street elevation is of two storeys, stucco faced with parapet. Two windows first floor, flush framed glazing bar sashes, that to left hard tripartite. Ground floor has small public house front with shallow canted bay window and flanking flush panelled and glazed doors, in frame of pilaster strips with console bracket heads and projecting fascia.
Carriageway to right hand reveals timber frame with brick nogging and massive wall post. Rear wing of one and two storeys also timber framed and again with massive wall post, casement windows. Old tile roofs.
Nos 49 to 51(consec) form a group with Sir Christopher Wrens House
