Former school circa 1830-40. Single storey range with 2 strey centre and end
blocks. Gothicised, stock brick with rendered dressings. Brick buttresses
with rendered offsets, weathered string and parapet with coping. Dripmoulds
to casement windows. Buttressed pouches, 3 centred arches with dripmoulds,
to centre of wings. Angle buttresses to projecting centre which has full height
3 centred arch recess with dripmould doorway. Flanking windows have quatrefoil
panel aprons on lst floor, very shallow small rectangular bay windows ground
floor. Gable over centre and pinnacles to angle buttresses. South end block
facing Victoria Street has pinnacled angle buttresses and similar buttresses
flanking 2 storey gabled centre with oriel bay window ground floor and small
canted bay to 1st floor.
