House, former watermill and mill house. C18, C19, the north service
building dated 1847. Mill house witchert, colourwashed and rendered
on a rubblestone plinth, west front masonry scribed with rusticated
quoins and jambs, vermiculated flat arches to windows. Mill building and
north outbuildings mostly brick with rubblestone lower floors to parts.
Old tile roofs, some slates and pantiles on service buildings. House of
2 bays and 2 storeys with central 4-panel door with flat hood on brackets.
4 pane sashes. Dentil eaves. At rear a 2 storey wing of one bay which
has projecting stack of rubblestone and brick flue. Modern casements.
Mill buildings have to south of house gabled bay of 2 storeys with attic.
French doors on east side, then two 2-light casements above. Attic window.
West elevation has two 2-light casements. Inside on ground floor some
machinery. To south one bay wing, door and casement to east, casement
to west and south elevation which has scribed colourwashed render gable.
Undershot wheel in north end of this bay. Service buildings of 3 bays,
then 2 bays at north end. The mill was working until the mid 1960's.
