Here lies Maximilian Mohun esquire, son of Robert Mohun, otherwise Mohun of Bothenhampton [Baunton] in the county of Dorset, which Maximilian, together with his virtuous wife Anne, the daughter and coheiress of John Churchill gentleman of Corton was the happy parent of thirteen children. He lived about 48 years, and after a well spent and happy life he rests in the Lord. He died the 14 th day of October in the tenth year of the reign of the most serene James, King of England and his forty fifth year as King of Scotland; in the year of our Salvation 1612
