Farmhouse. C15 of open-hall form. Hall floored over in C16, and further
alterations in C17. Rubble stone walls, stone slate roof with coped gable
at left end. One plastered stack at left end, one brick stack at right end,
one brick stack left of door - backing on to cross-passage. 2 storeys.
C15 doorway, into cross-passage, with pointed arch, and flush panel oak door,
under hoodmould. Left of door 2 C20 reproduction stone mullioned windows with
metal casements. 2 similar windows right of door. 4 similar windows on first
floor. Also left of door the original C15 hall window, now blocked, of 2 lights,
mullioned and transomed, square-headed, with trefoiled light. Left of this
the upper part of the solar windows, of similar detail. At right end, a later
extension at lower level, of rubble stone with slate roof, set back from the
main frontage. Lean-to extension on front of this, under catslide roof.
Interior not accessible, but according to RCHM the inserted floor over the
hall has intersecting moulded ceiling beams. Collar-beam roof with curved
