Date in brickwork on west wall - 1757 - painted on the bricks and may not be
authentic. House is of 2 builds, the southern block C17, the northern block C18.
Brick walls, tiled roofs, brick stacks. Two storeys. Single storey lean-to on
west, single storey outbuilding on north, and modern single porch on east - all
of which have tiled roofs. West elevation of north block has platband at first
floor level. All windows are side hung casements - mostly modern. Those in the
east wall of the north block are in old openings with gauged brick arches.
Interior much altered, but the C17 block retains one chamfered oak ceiling beam and
a staircase - probably original, with massive oak newels and moulded handrail. The
balusters have been covered or replaced with modern panelling.
