Detached farmhouse, C17 with extensions and alterations of a number of later
dates. Timber frame with brick infill to centre of range, brick extensions
either side. Thatched roof with brick stack right and in lobby entrance left
of centre. One and half storeys, 3 window range. 3-light timber casements
with glazing bars. Ground floor windows under concrete lintels with returned
labels. Part glazed, panelled door under pedimental hood. Internal features
(RCHM): hollow chamfered beams with shaped stops. (R.C.H.M. Dorset, Vol V,
