Detached cottage. C17. Plastered walls, with external timber bracing, hipped
thatched roof, brick stack right of centre. Lobby entrance plan. One storey
and attic. Ledged door with glass panel, in thatched porch. Ground floor has
three C20 casements with diamond lead lights. Attic has 3 dormers with
similar casements. Deep chamfered exposed ceiling beams. On first floor,
chimney breast, C17 ornamental raised plasterwork depicting a lion and unicorn
flanking a fleur de lys. (R.C.H.M. Monument 7. Dorset Vol V).
