Cottage with attached outbuilding. Cottage appears early C19, outbuilding earlier,
probably C18 (this described as brewhouse and bakehouse in RCHM). Cottage has
rubble stone walls, stone slate roof, brick end stacks. 2 storeys. Ledged door
under simple hood on brackets. Ground floor has 2 casements, one with centre
horizontal bar, one with glazing bars. First floor has 3 casements with glazing
bars. Rear lean-to in matching construction. At left end, an attached outbuilding
has rubble stone walls and stone slate roof. Brick stack on ridge. One storey and
loft. Ledged door at right end. 2 loft doors under pent-roofed dormers. Approached
by stone steps. Small extension at left end, with brick stack at rear. Outbuilding
in rather poor repair. (RCHM, Monument 128. Dorset. Vol. II).
