Description


HUNDERTHWAITE B6277 NZ 02 SW (West side) 11/77 Doe Park Cross Base, 170 metres east of Doe Park II Cross base. Probably medieval. Sandstone. Worn, rectangular block with chamfered top edge, O.S. bench mark to east and central, rectangular socket hole. Said to have been used in the traditional rural ceremony of calf- christening.
