Inn. Early C19. Rough render, welsh slate, parallel range, 2 brick stacks
at south end. The central block is flanked by extensions at either end, one
storey to the north and two storeys to south. Entrance front 2½ storeys and
cellars, 3 gabled C20 dormers over 3 narrow 12-pane sashes over 2 wider 12-pane
sashes and central 6-panel door, part glazed in C20 projecting porch; to left
is entrance to cellar, and 2 small C20 casements flank the main window ground
floor left. River front 2½ storeys, 3 dormers with 12-pane sashes over three
16-pane sashes over 3-light sashes with 4:12:4 panes; pair C20 glazed doors
centrally. The name derives from the railway bridge formerly spanning the
river to the south, finally demolished c1970.
