Barn. C17. Thin bedded sandstone rubble, corrugated asbestos cement roof.
A three gabled formal compostion in 1½ storeys facing the farmhouse (qv) across
a yard. In the gables 2 oculi in a square field, and central doorway approached
by steep stone and concrete stairway. At ground floor a 3-light reserved chamfer
casement under stopped drip, and adjacent to plank door in heavy moulded wood
surround - this is repeated as mirror image in right gable, and centrally is
3-light casement under the door. Six bay interior, 2-purlin collar roof, the
whole floored at first floor level. At back are 2 doors, and south gable has
1 ventilation slit over 2. An important farm element surviving with the
contemporary farmhouse (qv).
