Late C18 or early C19 building. 2 storeys. 2 windows. Stuccoed wooden eaves
cornice. Roof now modern tiles. Glazing bars intact. Recessed doorway with
pilasters, projecting cornice, rectangular fanlight and 6-panel fielded door,
of which the top 2 panels are glazed. C19 gas lamp supported by a bracket
on the corner of No 4 Upper Strand Street with No 6 . Converted to electricity.
Mounted lantern upon 4 curved ogee braces. Square plan lantern larger at top
than at bottom with anthemion foliage at each corner of the sloping roof, terminating
in a bell shaped vent having a scolloped cap and finial over.

Nos 2 to 12 (even) with Nos 11 to 19 (odd) High Street form a group.
