A C16 and later timber-framed and plastered cottage. One storey and attics. Casement windows, some with lattice leaded lights. Roof thatched, with two gabled dormers on the front.

The Chesnuts, Clock House, Clock House Cottage, 1, 2 and 3 Maltings Cottages and The Six Bells Public House form a group. (The Chesnuts is a building of local interest).
