Dovecote. Late C18. Red brick in irregular bond, roofed with handmade red clay
tiles. Square plan facing NE. One storey. Central doorway with 2-centred arch
of 2 plain orders with plain pilasters. Oak door and frame. 2 dummy windows
outlined in bricks projecting edge outwards, with 2-centred heads and plain
labels, and a cross between them, similarly executed. Sides and back plain.
Pyramidal roof with octagonal wooden cupola, ogival lead roof and weathervane.
Aperture blocked. The interior has on each side a wooden rack of 3 tiers of 9
nestboxes supported on wooden brackets, those at the front and rear being above
those at the sides, all of softwood. Earth floor.
