Forge and cottage. Dated 1874. Richard Norman Shaw, architect for William
Cotterill of Tongswood. Tile hung on first floor, red brick on ground floor with
weather-boarded rear wing. Plain tiled roof. Two storeys with jetty on heavy
brackets with tall steeply pitched roof, hipped to left, half-hipped to right, and
with tall moulded stack to left. Two 4-light wooden casements on first floor, and
large mullioned windows on ground floor, ranged around the left hand corner.
Boarded door to right, and half-glazed door in left return. Rear weather-boarded
range, the forge building itself, now incorporated into the cottage.
