4/113 Barn to north-west of Urchinwood
Manor

Barn. Probably C17. Colourwashed rubble with some render to midstrey and north
gable end, pantile roof with stone tile eaves course to left hand. Offset
buttress to left-hand and 4-light oak ovolo-moulded mullion under wooden lintel.
Single slit opening to right-hand. C19 ogee-headed 2-leaf Gothick doors with
glazing to central midstrey. Simple tie and collar beam, through purlin roof
structure. West facade with 2-leaf C20 doors and C20 casement windows. Similar
C20 window to north facade. (R. Cooke, West Country Houses, 1957).
