Early/mid C19, pair of houses under one roof. 2 storeys plus basement to No
9, 2 storeys to No lo. Cement rendered and colourwashed. Hipped slate roof.
Moulded eaves cornice. Brick chimney-stacks to left and right, and 2 others
in centre of roof. Plain pilasters divide the front. 6 windows (3 to each property).
No 9 has modern casements. No lo has original sashes in plain reveals (elongated
to ground floor), with thin glazing bars. Projecting plinth to whole house.
No 9 has an elliptical archway set in plinth on left of basement, Entrance to
No 9 is up a flight of stone steps with plain wrought-iron railings. Square-headed
doorway with plain architrave surround and small hard supported by large volutes
over. 8-panel door. Rectangular fanlight with coloured glazing. Entrance to
No lo is also up flight of stone steps with plain wrought-iron railings. Round-headed
doorway with one recessed order to arch. 6-panel door. Semi-circular fanlight
with Y-tracery.

No 2 to 10 (consec) and No 13 form a group together with Nos 11 and 12 which are
of local interest.
