Elaborate Gothic house of about 1860. Coursed rubble with patterned ashlar dressings.
Marble shafts with window and door openings. 2 storeys plus attics. Front has
canted bays to both sides which rise (with gabled dormers) into hipped slate
roofs. Eaves cornice with brackets and 1st floor sill-band. 4 windows to ground
and 1st floor bays with pointed arches, cusped lights and foliage capitals.
bashes without glazing bars. Central doorway under gabled hood supports a diagonally-place
turret rising to a spire with weathervane. Cusped light to each face of turret.
Carved lion rampart on hood over doorway which also has curved stone brackets
on marble columns.

Nos 5 to 17 (odd), 17a, 19 and 21 form a group.
