II
Farmhouse. Possibly early C16, and C17 with C19 alterations and additions.
Timber-framed and plastered with tarred brick plinth pantiled roofs, part
slated to rear. One storey and attic. Main east-west range with earlier
cross wing to west. South elevation: Cross wing with roof half hipped to
south. Red brick ridge stack with round arched recessed brick panel.
Panelled door, four ground floor, one attic, and two dormer windows with three
casement lights. Interior: Exposed timber-frame shows clearly the two
building periods, chimney bay with smoke blackened rafters suggest an earlier
framed chimney. Open hearth with mantel beam. Exposed ceiling beams.
