2/56 Mouldsworth Hall.

Farmhouse: late C16 with early C18 and early C19 alterations and
additions, major C20 renovation. Washed brick on an ashlar plinth.
Graduated Welsh slate roof, stone ridge, 1 lateral ashlar chimney with
moulded cornice and 3 brick chimneys. L-shaped plan. 2-storey, 4-bay
front. Windows have cambered brick heads to casements with glazing
bars. Left end bay projects slightly and the central 2 bays have a
brick bond at 1st floor. Door in 2nd bay behind a lean-to porch.
Interior: reveals some timber small framing with wattle and daub
infill of an L-shaped house. Heavy chamfered ceiling beams and an
exposed truss with vertical strutting above the tiebeam. Upstairs is
a good rebated and cyma-moulded stone fireplace with a 4-centred
arched head and a moulded stone shelf above.
