SJ 37SE BACKFORD C.P. CHURCH LANE (EAST SIDE)

Vicarage. C18th with alterations and additional wings to rear and
sides. Limewashed brick, slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 windows. Double
pile plan. Upper floor near flush sashes with glazing bars have
moulded architraves, and stone cills. Ground floor has one 2-light
casement, and one splayed bay. Central door of 6 panels with
rectangular glazed fanlight and wing lights is behind C20th glazed
porch. At side is bowed bay with ground floor French window and 1st
floor sash with glazing bars. Brick stacks, one at gable end, one at
rear of front bars. Timber moulded cove cornice at eaves. 1 timber
finial on gable. Interior: Doors of 6 panels.
