House remodelled 1846/7 incorporating farmhouse and early C19th house. Gothic revival style. Rendered, slate roof, rendered stacks, stone plinth. 2½ storeys, 5 windows, central bay has 3 windows, projecting gabled bay at each side has one. Central bay sashes with glazing bars partly reusing those of original house have stone cills and 1846/7 hood moulds at 1st and 2nd floor. 1st floor windows have stone aprons. Shaped gablet over attic windows similar to shaped gables and all are above arrow slits. Gabled bays each have 1st floor oriel with sashes with glazing bars, above ground floor coat of arms with motto 'In veritate Victoria' of Wicksted Swan family. Canted porch below 3rd window of central bay has moulded parapet and sashes with glazing bars and hood moulds in each side panel. Central double doors with long glazed panels have a four-centred arch head below rectangular hood mould. C18th iron lantern. Angles are stop chamfered. Stone gable parapets. Interior: Doors of 6 panels, 2 doors with 5 raised and fielded panels, but most is mid C19th. Jacobean style plastered dining room ceiling, Gothic drawing room frieze and cornice, and pine open string staircase with moulded balusters and newels. Pevsner & Hubbard.
