Built 1830-40 as the workhouse. Stone, classical style, symmetrical front. Centre portion of three storeys with hipped slate roof, seven bays of twelve-paned sash windows, the centre three bays pedimented and having a pedimented doorway with round-arched entrance and flanking round-arched windows. A two-storeyed wing at each side, each with seven windows, the two end ones in gabled pavilions. Basement.
