Mausoleum with enclosure wall. 1834 for John Payne of Newhill Hall
(Fleming, p11). Coursed, dressed sandstone (weathered); ashlar sandstone
roof. Small, square, single-storey structure with identical facades.
Plinth; chamfered quoins. Central, round-arched, quoined recesses with
sunken apron panels beneath wall stone infill. Cornice. Stepped pyramidal
roof; finial removed. No apron panel to south side, presumably indicating
former entrance. Low-walled enclosure now in poor condition, cast-iron
railings removed.
