1876, single-storey range of almshouses with 2-storey wings. Gothic and
Jacobean detailing. Sandstone "brick" with ashlar dressings. Ground floor
of wings have splayed corners with shield panels, moulded corbelling to
first floors with coped finialed gables. Lobed pointed twin light ground
floor windows. Blind pointed arches on carved stops over first floor windows.
Mullioned windows to single-storey range. Coupled porches to centre in
applied pointed arch. Stepped, finialed gable above containing inscription
and date.
