Thornton BD13

Stocks to east of
Thornton Hall
SE 1032 39/103B

Probably C17 or C18. Consists of 3 monolithic stone blocks, to the left,
a short plain stone post, to the right a taller stone post chamfered out at
top and bottom - probably used as a whipping post. Between the 2, and slotted
into a groove on the inner face of each, the third block is cut at the top to
take the legs of 2 people. The top 'board' is missing.
