Including Nos 67 and 69 (The Hollins), Rochdale Road. House now 3 dwellings.
Early C18 much altered C19. Coursed squared stone, stone slate roof. 2
and 3 storeys; 3 bays, right bay wider. West front: 3 storeys. Two bays
to left: quoins on left; each has doorway in plain stone surround to outside
of window with raised cill and a narrow single-light window to lst and 2nd
floors. Right bay: rusticated quoins on right; Venetian window to lst floor.
All bays have square gutter brackets on moulded table. Gable coping. 3
corniced ridge stacks, a 4th to left end, and one brick ridge stack. Rear:
right bay 3-storeyed, otherwise 2 storeys. Central half-glazed double door
with stained glass overlight and plain stone surround in porch which has
columns supporting pediment with blocking course. Band to left. On each
floor of right bay a 6-light chamfered mullion window. On lst floor of
left and central bays cill band and windows with plain stone surrounds,
left bay having a sash with glazing bars, central bay a sash. All bays
having plain gutter brackets on table. On left No 67 breaks forward, having
6-panel door and another door to inner return. Left return: in gable a
2-over-4-light chamfered mullion window.
