Bents Farmhouse and attached barn

Laithehouse with attached barn. Early C19 with slightly later barn. Coursed squared stone, stone slate roof. Part of laithe formed separate dwelling with access from rear. Two storeys.

Laithehouse: one bay house to right of three bay laithe with cottage in rear of right-hand bay. Barn attached to left of three bays. Openings have plain stone surrounds, windows with flat-faced mullions. House: four-panel door to left of three-light window on each floor; end stacks. Barn: central segmental-arched cart-entry with imposts and keystone; doorway to left end; single-light windows flanking cart-entry and three of same to first floor. Attached barn: central bonded round-arched cart-entry with raised keystone; doorway to either end with former two-light window on inside of each; small window over cart entry; plain gutter brackets; coping to left gable.

Rear: laithehouse, from left: four-panel door flanked by three-light windows on each floor; six-panel door; former three-light window. Attached barn: central doorway; windows to either end converted to doors.
