Pair of slabs. c1785 and 1795. Ashlar. Stone slabs raised on much weathered
panelled sides.
Left tomb inscribed: Right tomb inscribed:

"In Memory of Martha "In Memory of
Wife of the Revd. Benjamin Hopperton
Thos. Balmforth Schoolmaster of Morley, who Departed this
of Morley who died August Life April the 13th 1785
30th 1795, aged 39." in the 68 Year of his Age ..."

Each has semicircular-carved arch with punched spandrels in which are set
paterae. Included for group value.
