Church hall. Mid C19. Ashlar facade, hammer-dressed stone
to sides and rear, Welsh blue-slate roof. Two storeys, 7-bay symmetrical
facade. Flight of steps with stone balustrades to central 3 bays. Plinth,
quoin pilasters and basement with channelled stonework, double roll-moulded band,
(9-bay return),cornice, deep entablature, eaves cornice and blocking course. Central
3 bays and corners articulated by quoin pilasters which support engaged columns
with composite capitals, outer and corner columns coupled. Ground floor has central
small window flanked by doorways with fanlights. 1st-floor has tall arched windows
with hollow chamfered surrounds. Set over central 3 bays segmental pediment with
deep moulded cornice. Outer 3 bays have plain rectangular windows to ground floor
and 2 larger arched windows to 1st floor with impost band and archivolts. Returns:
9 bays, first 2 bays with cornice returned from front have 2-light window to each
bay on both floors, square-headed to ground floor, arched to 1st floor; other bays
with windows with plain surrounds to each floor. End stacks.
